The prediction

The GWS Giants (8th) were impressive in Round 11, comfortably defeating Carlton by 28 points at Marvel Stadium. This continued a win-loss trend they have developed over the past four games. Richmond (16th), on the other hand, suffered their eighth loss of the season, going down to Essendon by 23 points in the Dreamtime at the 'G clash. The Tigers were never really in the contest in the final term and the Bombers pulled away late.

For the Giants, Toby Greene continued his excellent 2025 campaign in their win over Carlton. He was at his very best, collecting 28 disposals, 13 score involvements, and three goals. Richmond veteran Tim Taranto tried to lift his side, gathering 23 disposals and kicking 2 goals; however he went missing in the final quarter recording only two touches.

GWS won the only match last season 108-84 at the MCG in Round 18. Last time these two met in Sydney, the Tigers came out on top with a 6-point victory in 2023 

The Giants will start as strong favourites in this encounter and their midfield firepower and ability to hit the scoreboard should prove too much for a Richmond team that is currently lacking confidence and consistent contributors.
