The prediction
The Gold Coast SUNS come into this one on the back of a 45-point hammering at the hands of a strong Geelong side in their most recent outing last weekend. They have now succumbed to three successive defeats as they battle to remain tucked inside the top ten.
Hawthorn have managed eight victories and a tie with four defeats in their 13 matches as they try and push towards the top end of the AFL ladder. Hawthorn most recently did succumb to a slender six-point loss to the Western Bulldogs last week.
Prior to that narrow defeat against the Bulldogs, Hawthorn had enjoyed back-to-back victories and they will fancy themselves to bounce back after a still strong performance last week and they are favourites here.
