Genk vs Basel prediction

Genk come into this one on the back of a 1-0 defeat at home to Mechelen in the league at the weekend. The home team have won just four of their last ten matches across all competitions, but one of those wins came in their most recent UEFA Europa League outing as they defeated Braga by four goals to three in northern Portugal.

They now face a Basel side that have started the league phase of the UEL with two victories and two defeats in their opening four matches. They most recently shared a 1-1 draw with Grasshoppers in Zurich at the weekend, making it just two victories in their last seven matches.

Neither of these two teams have much form to fall back on but home advantage and Genk’s win against Braga would mark them out as the favourites for this one.

Genk vs Basel tip: Genk to win
