Gabriel Diallo vs Tallon Griekspoor prediction

Gabriel Diallo picked up a fine win in round one as he defeated Francisco Cerundolo in straight sets to win his first ever match at Roland Garros. Cerundolo has been one of the most consistent players on tour recently but the Canadian restricted him to just one break point in the entire match, winning 7-5 6-3 6-4.

Tallon Griekspoor will be his opponent in the next round after he recovered from a set down to beat Marcos Giron 4-6 6-3 6-4 7-5. Despite the slow conditions, it was a really strong serving performance from the Dutchman as he won 84% of points on his first serve. 

Griekspoor will be the favourite for this one and has had a productive clay season up to now, reaching the Grand Prix Hassan final earlier in the year and also pushing Alexander Zverev all the way in their BMW Open quarter-final last month. Diallo is continually improving but the Dutchman is good value to reach the third-round here for the second successive year.
