Fulham preview: Struggling Cottagers

There is now a bit of pressure growing on Marco Silva, according to reports, as Fulham begin the weekend sitting just a point outside of the bottom three and the relegation places with just three victories in 11 matches in the Premier League so far.

The west Londoners put in another lacklustre performance in their most recent outing as they were beaten 2-0 by Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium a couple of weeks ago due to goals from Idrissa Gueye and Michael Keane.

Sunderland preview: Surprise package Sunderland

Following their promotion to the top-flight via the Championship playoffs, Sunderland head into the 12th match day of the campaign sitting tucked inside the top four in the Premier League after a magnificent start to the campaign.

Regis Le Bris’ Black Cats were extremely impressive to steal a 2-2 draw against many people’s champions-elect Arsenal at the Stadium of Light, with a second-half stoppage-time equaliser scored by Brian Brobbey before the international break.

Fulham team news: A few issues

Marco Silva has confirmed that he does not expect to see Rodrigo Muniz back in action until February with the Brazilian striker having sustained a hamstring injury.

Antonee Robinson remains sidelined and Sasa Lukic is also missing through suspension, while Josh King is expected to come back into the eleven against less physical opposition, having been dropped to the bench against Everton.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Leno; Tete, Andersen, Bassey, Sessegnon; Iwobi, Berge; Wilson, King, Kevin; Jimenez

Unavailable: Robinson (Injured), Lukic (Suspended), Muniz (Injured)

Sunderland team news: Reinildo and Alderete are fine

In his pre-match press conference, Regis Le Bris has confirmed that Mozambique international Reinildo is fine after sustaining a slight hamstring scare whilst away on international duty.

The Frenchman has also confirmed that Omar Alderete returned from his concussion whilst away with Paraguay, whilst the likes of Leo Hjelde, Dennis Cirkin and Romain Mundle all working with the U21 side as they work their way back.

Predicted XI (3-4-3): Roefs; Geertruida, Ballard, Alderete; Hume, Sadiki, Xhaka, Reinildo; Traore, Isidor, Le Fee

Unavailable: Alese (Injured), Hjelde (Fitness), Cirkin (Fitness), Diarra (Injured), Mundle (Fitness)

Fulham vs Sunderland prediction

Fulham’s three victories have seen them ease past a woeful Wolverhampton Wanderers and come from behind to defeat Brentford in a west London derby after a last-gasp and extremely fortunate 1-0 victory over Leeds United at Craven Cottage. There is perhaps only one game they have really convinced against reasonable opposition and Sunderland have proved themselves tough to beat and so siding with the visitors seems a good bet.

Fulham vs Sunderland tip: Double chance – Sunderland to win or draw
