Freiburg vs Salzburg prediction

Coached by Julian Schuster, Freiburg come into this one on the back of a very strong start to their UEFA Europa League campaign with three victories and two draws in their opening five matches, leaving them fourth after five games. They most recently suffered a shock 2-1 defeat to Heidenheim in the Bundesliga at the weekend.

Red Bull Salzburg have been knocked off their perch in the Austrian Bundesliga in the last 12-18 months or so but they have returned to the top-of-the-table ahead of this one. In the league phase of this competition, Salzburg have struggled with four defeats from their opening five matches.

Despite their contrasting domestic form, there is a clear favourite for this one and Freiburg should come out on top here, especially with their home advantage.
