Francisco Cerundolo vs Botic van de Zandschulp prediction

Francisco Cerundolo’s inconsistency continued in Hamburg last time out, as he lost to Alex de Minaur in the first-round. The Argentine has only reached one quarter-final during this European clay swing, and that was a 500 event in Munich. Cerundolo still has a title on the surface following his win at his home event in Buenos Aires during the Golden Swing. He suffered a shock first-round defeat to Gabriel Diallo at this slam last year, and the 27-year-old will be hoping for a much deeper run this time around, despite his middling form.

Botic van de Zandschulp has been competitive over the last six weeks. His best result was at the Bucharest Open as he made it all the way to the semi-finals without dropping a set, though he would then lose to Mariano Navone. The Dutchman does have an injury concern heading into this slam, as he was forced to retire from his last event in Bordeaux.

Cerundolo does have a very good record against his opponent, leading 3-0 and 1-0 on clay. He comprehensively defeated Van De Zandschulp 6-0 6-3 at the BMW Open last month.

Francisco Cerundolo vs Botic van de Zandschulp tip: Under 35.5 games
