She faces Jessica Pegula next. The American comes into this event on the back of a quarter-final finish at Indian Wells, as she was defeated by Elena Rybakina for the second time this season, following a semi-final defeat at the Australian Open. After her success in Dubai last month, Pegula currently has eight wins from her last nine matches. She has been one of the most consistent players on tour for the past six months, and she will be hopeful of another deep run at a 1000 event.
