The Italian will now face Frances Tiafoe for a sixth time after the 19th seed saw off Terence Atmane by a 6-4 1-6 6-4 scoreline. 

Sinner leads the head-to-head 4-1 and triumphed 7-6 6-2 in their most recent showdown in the Cincinnati final two years ago. 

Big Foe will relish this challenge and is sure to be highly competitive for at least a set. Whether he can snare one remain to be seen, but Sinner just does everything that bit more consistently and it’s hard to back against him.
