Frances Tiafoe’s resurgence continues after he demolished Flavio Cobolli to reach the round of 16.

The American powered to a 6-1 6-2 success over the Italian but now faces a step up against Alexander Zverev.

The German edged to a 7-6 5-7 6-4 win over Brandon Nakashima and Big Foe may well take note of how his compatriot troubled the fourth seed for long spells.

The American will hope to blank out a head-to-head that sees him trail 8-1, having lost his last six matches versus Sascha. 

Only two of those matches have taken place since 2021, however, and Tiafoe is playing better than he has done in quite some time. 

Zverev is likely to come up trumps again but don’t rule out a breaker or Big Foe nicking a set.
