THE PREDICTION

Shakhtar Donetsk will have been bitterly disappointed with their 2-0 defeat to Champions League debutants Sheriff a couple of weeks ago as that was undoubtedly a fixture they were targeting points in and it only gets more difficult for them now as they face reigning Serie A champions Internazionale followed by 13-time European champions Real Madrid on Matchday 3. Their immediate opponents Inter also suffered disappointment last time out as they fell to a late Real Madrid winner and they will be determined to avoid a repeat of last season where they simply gave themselves too much to do late on in the group. You have to go all the way back to 2012 for the last time they reached the knockout stages but they have enough quality to progress this time around and should be fancied to see off Shakhtar here as they have the edge in quality all over the park.

TIP: INTERNAZIONALE TO WIN
