THE PREDICTION
AIK started last season poorly before going on a nine-match unbeaten streak that saved them from a relegation battle, though once safety was secured they tailed off again with three winless matches to end off the campaign. They have been granted a winnable first fixture here against newly promoted Degerfors, who finished five points behind Superettan winners Mjallby last year to re-join the first division for the first time since 1997. Degerfors claimed most of their points at home last season and, though they should be competitive this season, AIK should have their way in this first home fixture.
