ST. MIRREN VS ROSS COUNTY PREDICTION
St. Mirren were unable to make the most of their game in-hand with a 0-0 at home to Motherwell on Wednesday night but they have a two-point gap between themselves and Dundee United in seventh to protect as they desperately try to avoid the league split. They have been sturdy enough of late with four straight draws in the Scottish Premiership but just one win in their last seven league games is a concern as things get tight. Ross County will likely still be on a high as they became the final straw for Neil Lennon at Celtic on Sunday by beating the reigning champions 1-0 at home and they also won their last away match in the league to help stay just above the bottom for now.
