The winter break looked like it came at a good time for Lokomotiv Moscow as their last two games in December saw them lose 5-0 to Krasnodar – their heaviest defeat this century – and 3-2 to Khimki. They looked much more like themselves upon their return to competitive action in the cup last Sunday though and they will surely be fired up for this derby against their city rivals. CSKA, despite winning just one of their last five league games, still have title aspirations but they cannot afford to let Zenit get away from them.
