THE PREDICTION

Porto’s win against Juventus last week in the Champions League turned their run of four straight draws over all competitions into a first Primeira Liga win in four as they beat Maritimo 1-2 away from home on Monday. They will be a significant threat to visiting Sporting Lisbon here in what should be a fierce and fiery Lisbon derby even without the fans. Sporting are 10 points ahead of the rest of the league having gone unbeaten so far this season, with just three draws marking a near-perfect record, but this away trip will be the toughest challenge to that yet. Their last meeting ended up 2-1 to Sporting Lisbon at home just under a month ago in the League Cup but both previous league meetings at Estádio Do Dragão have seen a in for the hosts. Draw no bet in favour of Porto and both teams to score looks a useful combination here considering the hosts’ recent upturn in form.
