After a mid-table finish back up in Serie A last season, Lecce would have liked to have built on that this time around but Roberto D’Aversa has struggled to get a consistent tune out of his side, having replaced Marco Baroni, who was pinched by Hellas Verona last summer. They begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting in the bottom-half of the table.
The home team come into this one on the back of a 4-0 hammering at the hands of Bologna in their most recent outing, last weekend, with goals coming from Sam Beukema, a brace by Riccardo Orsolini and a fourth netted by Jens Odgaard. That means Lecce have lost five of their last six matches in Serie A with just one win in nine.
INTER MILAN
Internazionale have been absolutely magnificent this season as they appear set to romp to their 20th Italian title and get a second star on their badge for doing so. The Nerazzurri begin the match day with a nine-point lead over Juventus at the top-of-the-table and they also have the added bonus of a game-in-hand, too.
They come into this one on the back of a 1-0 victory in Europe, too, defeating Atletico Madrid at San Siro in the first-leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie. Simone Inzaghi’s side were fairly dominant throughout that match but they did require a late winning goal from former Stoke forward, Marko Arnautovic.

Lecce are not yet in immediate or imminent danger of being sucked into the bottom three and the relegation places but they are in shocking form at the moment and are arguably the weakest team in the league based on that ahead of this weekend. Inter are dominant. Inzaghi is expected to make changes after their UEFA Champions League excursions the other day but a comfortable and potentially heavy away win remains the expected outcome.
