THE LOWDOWN
LECCE
Under the management of Roberto D’Aversa, Lecce begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting in the bottom-half of the table. The visitors have managed just four victories in their 22 matches so far this season and three of those came in their opening couple of months. They have also drawn nine and lost nine so far.
The hosts come into this one on the back of a 2-1 loss to Genoa last week with Nikola Krstovic’s first-half opener being followed by a second-half turnaround from Genoa with an equaliser from Mateo Retegui and the winner from Caleb Ekuban. They have collected just one point from their last six matches in Serie A.
FIORENTINA
After reaching the final of both the UEFA Europa Conference League and the Coppa Italia last season, it has arguably been an even better season this time around for I Viola. Under the management of Vincenzo Italiano, Fiorentina remain in the battle for a top four finish but they are just a couple of places and points behind Atalanta in fourth.
The visitors come into this on the back of a 1-0 defeat at home to title challenging Internazionale in their most recent, last weekend. That does mean they have collected just one point from their last three Serie A matches as they just begin to fade away from the top four. They have struggled for goals with just 29 goals scored in 21 matches.

THE PREDICTION
If Fiorentina would have picked out some opposition to face and find some form against on Friday evening then they may have not been far away from choosing to Lecce. The away team have drifted ever so slightly from their impressive top four spot but they will be expected to get back on track with a victory in this one, especially with their home advantage, albeit it may be a low-scoring encounter due to their lack of goals throughout the campaign.
TIP: FIORENTINA TO WIN & UNDER 3.5 GOALS
