Spezia were involved in thriller with Roma last week in a match they eventually lost 4-3 after both scoring and conceding in injury-time but, while that was a blow, their general form has been much improved since the turn of the year. They host an Udinese side who are winless in nine but they themselves have shown some signs of life recently having earned creditable draws against Atalanta and Internazionale in their last two outings.
