THE PREDICTION
Roma were humbled by a rampant Atalanta on Sunday as they were on the end of a 4-1 defeat in a match which once again exposed some of their defensive vulnerabilities. Paulo Fonseca’s side have conceded the most goals in the top half of the table and have kept just one clean sheet in their last seven games in all competitions. Shoring up the defence may well be a priority for Fonseca in the January transfer window but for now he must focus on the task at hand with Cagliari the opponents on Wednesday. The visitors are now winless in their last six Serie A games but they have drawn four of their last five so they are not exactly being outclassed. Roma are fancied here but it could well be a low-scoring match so Under 2.5 Goals is also worthy of consideration.
