THE PREDICTION
Although Ashdod have hardly been setting the world alight this season and it is no surprise to see them in the Relegation Round, it has been nowhere near as catastrophic as Hapoel Ra’anana’s campaign as they can only boast two league wins to their name all season. The visitors look destined for relegation and need a fairly dramatic turnaround in form in order to maintain their top-flight status but there was very little evidence of that happening in the early months of the year. Given that they have the worst defensive record of the teams in the Relegation Round and Ashdod have scored the most goals, you would expect the home side to record a comfortable victory in this one and they could well wrap the game up before half-time, as they did in the most recent meeting between the two sides in January.
