Copa America champions Argentina remain unbeaten in qualifying after September’s round of fixtures saw them defeat Venezuela and Bolivia with the farcical covid-enforced postponement of their clash with great rivals Brazil sandwiched between those victories. They currently boast an excellent unbeaten run across all competitions of 22 games which they will be determined to extend, and they will be expecting to do so here against a rather inconsistent Paraguay outfit. To be fair to the hosts, they are in the mix for one of the qualifying berths but there is a gulf in class between these to teams with Lionel Messi and co expected to take the three points.
