THE LOWDOWN

WOLFSBURG

Wolfsburg haven’t tasted victory in the Bundesliga since December of last year and their run of four consecutive draws came to an end last time out as they were narrowly beaten 1-0 away from home by Union Berlin. It was also the first time in seven matches that Wolfsburg failed to score across the whole game.

As it stands, Wolfsburg currently sit 12th-place in the Bundesliga going into the latest round of fixtures. Both Rogerio and Tiago Tomas will miss the visit of Borussia Dortmund due to injury, whilst Patrick Wimmer is a doubt.

BORUSSIA DORTMUND

Borussia Dortmund’s final fixture before their Champions of League round of 16 first-leg tie away at PSV Eindhoven sees them take on Wolfsburg away from home. However, with 13 points from the last 15 available to them, the visitors come into this match in brilliant form, most recently beating Freiburg by three goals to nil.

They’ve also hugely improved defensively, keeping four clean sheets from their last five. Add that to their 13 goals scored and it makes for an impressive combination, with Donyell Malen and Niclas Fullkrug both in good goalscoring form. Jadon Sancho would no doubt love to get his first goal for Borussia Dortmund since re-joining the club.

THE PREDICTION

Two sides in contrasting form should lead to a contest likely to be dominated by the visitors. Borussia Dortmund’s attacking options should see them keep the pressure on Wolfsburg throughout the 90 minutes and in the end, their firepower going forward is likely to overwhelm the hosts. Back Borussia Dortmund to win, but utilise the draw no bet market for extra security when considering that Wolfsburg have drawn four of their last five league matches.

TIP: BORUSSIA DORTMUND DRAW NO BET
