THE LOWDOWN
HOFFENHEIM
Hoffenheim’s winless run continued, but they’ll have been delighted to have gained a point against FC Cologne with a goal deep into second half stoppage time. Trailing through a goal with eleven minutes of normal time to go, Andrej Kramaric stepped up when required in the 94th minute to draw his side level.
It’s a testament as to how well Hoffenheim played in the first half of the season that they are still well clear of the relegation places despite their poor recent streak of results. Three consecutive draws have passed and the importance of turning these into victories won’t be lost on the hosts leading into this one.
UNION BERLIN
Union Berlin extended the gap between themselves and the automatic relegation places to nine points, whilst it’s now five points separating them from 16th-placed FC Cologne following their hard fought 1-0 triumph over Wolfsburg. Danilho Doekhi scored the all-important goal before an excellent defensive performance.
Right-back Josip Juranovic is doubtful for the game and Andras Schafer is out with a head injury. Volland and Hollerbach should once again partner up in attack with Laidouni, Khedira and Haberer making up the central midfield three. Robin Gosens is likely to again be preferred over Jerome Roussillon.

THE PREDICTION
Although Union Berlin may be six points behind Hoffenheim, they have won four Bundesliga games since the last time Hoffenheim tasted victory. When taking this into account, they are well-placed to get something against an opponent low on confidence and struggling badly at the back. It’s difficult to see Hoffenheim being able to outscore Union, so backing the visitors to gain at least a point if not all three via the double chance market may prove a shrewd move.
TIP: DOUBLE CHANCE - DRAW/UNION BERLIN
