THE LOWDOWN

AUGSBURG

It would have felt like victory for Augsburg getting out of Bochum with a point in their most recent Bundesliga fixture. After going 1-0 behind on 33 minutes, it looked like Augsburg would get nothing out of the game. But in second half stoppage time they were awarded a lifeline in the shape of a penalty, which was converted by Ermedin Demirovic to grab his side a draw.

The point leaves them in 12th-place on 22 points overall going into this latest round of fixtures. However, with just one victory from their last seven league matches as it stands, Augsburg need to get back on the winning trail sooner rather than later if they are to kick on.

RB LEIPZIG

Many people were watching proceedings very closely at the Red Bull Arena last weekend with RB Leipzig in action on the back of three consecutive league defeats which had seen them leak a whopping nine goals in the process. However, under heavy pressure, head coach Marco Rose and his team held their nerve and dispatched Union Berlin 2-0.

The two starting strikers Lois Openda and Benjamin Sesko were both on the scoresheet, which will have no doubt pleased Rose, who has plenty of options at his disposal going forward. No doubt Dani Olmo would love to get on the scoresheet this time around, as would fellow midfielder Xavi Simons, who is enjoying an excellent season.

THE PREDICTION

With the players at the disposal of Marco Rose and their confidence somewhat restored following the victory which ended their losing run, RB Leipzig should be in a position to kick on in Augsburg. The hosts on their own patch are resilient and won’t give up easily even if they were to fall behind. Therefore, it would be a smart move to utilise the draw no bet market for extra security whilst backing RB Leipzig to make it back-to-back Bundesliga wins.

TIP: RB LEIPZIG DRAW NO BET
