THE LOWDOWN
MONACO
Under the management of former Borussia Monchengladbach boss Adi Hutter, Monaco begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting tucked inside the top three and the UEFA Champions League spots. The principality club have been very enjoyable to watch throughout the season and ended a three-match winless run with a much-needed victory last weekend.
They faced off against fellow high flyers Nice at the Allianz Riviera and they produced a 3-2 victory with Aleksandar Golovin scoring a 77th minute winner for the Monagasque. Their 21 matches so far this season have consisted of 70 goals with just PSG having scored more often than them and only five teams having conceded more.
TOULOUSE
As a result of winning the Coupe de France last season, Toulouse, way ahead of schedule, qualified for the UEFA Europa League so there is a chance that could see them setback in the league as they try to balance difficult domestic and continental commitments. They were beaten 2-1 by Benfica in midweek with a brace of penalties from Angel Di Maria.
That loss was narrow at Estadio da Luz and means they well head into the second-leg at home this week believing they have a real chance of edging through. That could distract them from Ligue 1 where they currently sit just a point and a couple of places above the bottom three and the relegation places in France’s top-flight.

THE PREDICTION
This one does have the potential to be a bit of a one-sided affair down at Stade Louis II. Monaco, as mentioned, have been very entertaining to watch this season but they have put plenty of goals in and now face a Toulouse side that only five teams have conceded more than – with one of those teams being Monaco themselves. With their home advantage, they are the firm favourites and it should be a high-scoring affair, too.
TIP: MONACO TO WIN & OVER 2.5 GOALS
