THE PREDICTION
Monaco just came up short in the title race last year in what was an excellent season for Niko Kovac’s side and there is plenty of hope in the camp that they can compete again, especially given the manner in which they ended the previous campaign. The most notable summer signing has been that of Myron Boadu from AZ Alkmaar while Jean Lucas is a solid addition in the middle of the park. They open up against a Nantes side who barely survived the drop last year by winning a relegation play-off match and they could be set for another season of struggle.
