THE LOWDOWN
LE HAVRE
Le Havre gained promotion to the top-flight for the first time in over 15 years last season and it has been a more than respectable campaign thus far as they begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting firmly in the middle-of-the-table. That steady season has been built upon a strong defensive record but their form is dipping now.
The home team come into this one on the back of a 1-0 loss at home to Stade Rennais in their most recent outing, last weekend, with a winning goal scored by Benjamin Bourigeaud in the 60th minute. That means Le Havre are now winless in their last four matches and they have scored just 23 goals in 22 matches.
REIMS
Exciting young coach Will Still has been coming under some fairly intense pressure in charge of Stade de Reims after a good start to the campaign, following fairly heavy investment in the summer transfer window, has been undermined by a poor run of recent form. They have drifted way outside of the top six and the European spots.
Reims come into this one on the back of a 1-1 draw with Lens in their most recent outing, last weekend, with Oumar Diakite’s 41st minute goal being cancelled out by Lens attacker Wesley Said in first-half stoppage-time. That result means that Reims are now winless in their last four matches with pressure growing on Still.
THE TEAM NEWS

REIMS
Stade de Reims have no fresh injury concerns for this weekend so will be able to name an unchanged side for their trip to Le Havre on Sunday.
PREDICTED XI (3-5-2): Diouf; Agbadou, Okumu, Abdelhamid; Foket, Munetsi, Khadra, Teuma, Akieme; Diakite, Ito

THE PREDICTION
In the first-half of this campaign, these two sides were both flirting with extremely impressive campaigns, respectively. A top-half finish for Le Havre would have been a major overperformance, as Reims chased potential European qualification. However, in the last couple of months, both teams have dropped off and both managers’ are under a bit of pressure. Le Havre have been naturally defensive throughout the campaign so that, combined with Reims’ lack of fluency and form, means this one is expected to be another low-scoring encounter.
