Since their hugely disappointing Champions League campaign came to an end, Rennes have picked things up on the domestic front having won their last three matches and they are looking a far more settled side now. Metz should prove stubborn opposition though, as the visitors have themselves won two on the bounce without conceding and manager Frederic Antonetti will be particularly pleased with their defensive solidity having previously conceded in five straight Ligue 1 games. Two confident sides go to-toe-toe then, but the edge just goes to hosts who have the advantage in quality.
