VIKINGUR
- Vikingur were left frustrated at only picking up a point from their opening match of the season against AB having missed some decent chances to have broken the deadlock in the goalless draw.
- New recruit Lukasz Cieslewicz – twice a player of the year in this league for B36 – showed flashes of inspiration on his debut, but ultimately Vikingur were unable to turn their pressure into goals.
- The clean sheet against AB was still a positive though and they would certainly welcome another in this match having failed to shut out their opponents in each of their last eight home league matches of the 2019 season.
SKALA
- Skala will be looking for a big improvement against Vikingur having suffered a shock 2-1 defeat at the hands of IF in their first match of the 2020 campaign.
- They were left chasing the game when Stojanov scored midway through the first half and then fell further behind early in the second half. A late goal from Kallsberg gave them a glimmer of hope but it proved to be just a consolation.
- Although there are no forced changes, it would not be a complete surprise to see some alterations to the team that started against IF with Danielsen, Hognesen and Andreas Jacobsen all pushing for a starting berth.
THE PREDICTION
Vikingur have a lengthy unbeaten run against Skala and also won both of their league meetings in the 2019 season. Recent matches between the pair have been close encounters and this is likely to follow a similar path with possibly just one goal separating the two teams.
