THE PREDICTION
Coventry City were knocked out of the FA Cup at the third round stage by non-league opposition in Wrexham last season but they have got through to this round emphatically. They hammered Oxford United by six goals to two last month before a 4-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday in a fourth round replay. Going into the weekend, Mark Robins’ Sky Blues had suffered just one defeat in 17 matches across all competitions. They now face a Maidstone United side that have become the first team from the sixth-tier of English football to reach the fifth round in 46 years, under the management of former Wolverhampton Wanderers defender George Elokobi. They produced a remarkable result in the last round to beat Ipswich Town by two goals to one at Portman Road but this is another tough test, especially away from home, and it is unlikely they will be able to ride their luck again with a comfortable Coventry win to be expected.
