THE LOWDOWN

WEST HAM

During the last week or so, it has been confirmed that David Moyes will be departing West Ham United at the end of the season and the Scotsman is expected to be replaced by former Spain, Sevilla and Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Julen Lopetegui. The Hammers have endured a really difficult second-half to the season under Moyes.

The Irons have collected just one point from their last four matches in the Premier League as they were hammered 5-0 by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last weekend. That means West Ham have now managed just four victories in their last 23 matches across all competitions since finishing the calendar year with back-to-back wins.

LUTON

Rob Edwards and Luton Town have been struggling with major injuries to lots of key first-teamers throughout this season and they are heading into the final couple of games sitting in the bottom three and the relegation places. The Hatters do, though, have a chance of survival as they sit three points behind Nottingham Forest.

The visitors come into this one on the back of a 1-1 draw with Everton at Kenilworth Road in their most recent outing, last weekend, in a game in which Elijah Adebayo notched a 31st minute equaliser after Dominic Calvert-Lewin had opened the scoring for the Toffees. That draw ended a three-match losing streak for Luton.

THE TEAM NEWS

WEST HAM

Ahead of his final home game in charge, David Moyes confirmed in his pre-match press conference that Lucas Paqueta 'seems OK' but he hasn't trained for most of the week.

The Scotsman has also said he will remain without centre-back duo Konstantinos Mavropanos and Nayef Ageurd as well as on-loan midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Areola; Coufal, Zouma, Ogbonna, Emerson; Edson Alvarez, Soucek; Bowen, Lucas Paqueta, Kudus; Antonio

UNAVAILABLE: Mavropanos (Injured), Ageurd (Injured), Phillips (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Lucas Paqueta (Injured)

LUTON

Rob Edwards has confirmed that key attacker Chiedozie Ogbene will be able to return to the Luton Town first-team this weekend after getting back onto the grass a few weeks ago.

The Hatters may also be able to welcome back defensive duo Mads Andersen and Dan Potts but remain with a lengthy injury list that includes the likes of Issa Kabore and Marvelous Nakamba.

PREDICTED XI (3-4-2-1): Kaminski; Burke, Mengi, Osho; Hashioka, Lokonga, Barkley, Doughty; Clark, Chong; Morris

UNAVAILABLE: Lockyer (Illness), Bell (Injured), Kabore (Injured), Nakamba (Injured), Brown (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Andersen (Injured), Potts (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

This is a really intriguing clash as it is David Moyes’ London Stadium send off. There will be a lot of good wishes to the Scotsman from Hammers fans after winning the UEFA Europa Conference League last season but their defence has been bizarrely lacklustre and leaky this season so Luton will really fancy their chances of spoiling the party and at least causing a threat. Both teams scoring would therefore seem a good bet for what could be quite a fun encounter.

TIP: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
