Neither of these two teams managed to find the net in the first round of group games. Singapore were beaten 2-0 by Indonesia, whilst Malaysia took down Bangladesh by three goals to nil. Defeat for either of these two nations is not an option, so don’t expect either to go down without a fight. Both must improve from an attacking perspective and that will no doubt be the message from the two head coaches.
We should see an open game as the two teams really go for it offensively. Neither backline is very impressive, which should lead to a contest full of chances and potential goals. When taking this into account, backing over 2.5 goals to be scored is a move worth making.
