THE LOWDOWN

TOTTENHAM

Tottenham began life without Harry Kane by playing out an entertaining 2-2 draw with Brentford last Sunday.

All of the goals were scored in the first half, Cristian Romero and Emerson Royal for Spurs and Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa for Brentford. Richarlison wasn't particularly effective up front for the North London club, but James Maddison impressed on his debut.

MAN UTD

A rather disjointed performance from Man Utd nevertheless yielded a victory against Wolves on Monday, but Erik ten Hag will be expecting a significant improvement from his men in this fixture.

Raphael Varane's header was all it took to separate the sides, and the Red Devils can count themselves fortunate that a penalty wasn't awarded to Wolves late on for a clumsy challenge by Andre Onana.

THE TEAM NEWS

TOTTENHAM

Cristian Romero suffered a head injury last week but has been cleared to play, while Postecoglu may consider a change in midfield with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg offering a more defensive approach compared to Oliver Skipp.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Vicario; Emerson, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Bissouma, Hojbjerg; Kulusevski, Maddison, Son; Richarlison

UNAVAILABLE: Whiteman (Injured), Sessengon (Injured), Bentancur (Injured), Gil (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Forster (Injured), Ndombele (Fitness)

MAN UTD

Lisandro Martinez was withdrawn with a minor injury in Monday's win over Wolves, but the Argentine has trained and stands a good chance of being in the starting line-up again. Meanwhile, summer signing Rasmus Hojlund is not yet ready to make the squad.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Onana; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Martinez, Shaw; Casemiro, Mount; Antony, Fernandes, Garnacho; Rashford

UNAVAILABLE: Heaton (Injured), Malacia (Injured), Mainoo (Injured), Diallo (Injured), Hojlund (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Martinez (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

Although the last eight meetings between these two sides have seen at least two goals scored, this encounter could well buck the trend. Without doubt, Spurs are less of a goal threat without the departed Harry Kane, while new signing Rasmus Hojlund is still not fit enough to come into a Man Utd side that are crying out for an out-and-out striker. With this in mind, consider opting for under 2.5 goals in the betting markets.

TIP: UNDER 2.5 GOALS
