THE LOWDOWN
MAN UTD
Man Utd have been unconvincing so far, with their 2-0 defeat to Tottenham last week showing that it is still very much a work in progress for Erik ten Hag.
Despite the fact they had several chances to get on the scoresheet through Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford, the Red Devils were unable to find a way past Vicario in the Spurs goal, and were made to pay for their wastefulness as Pape Sarr and a Lisandro Martinez own goal did the damage.
NOTTINGHAM FOREST
Nottingham Forest put their first points on the board with a late victory over newly-promoted Sheffield Utd last Friday.
Steve Cooper's men took the lead when the clinical Taiwo Awoniyi converted after just three minutes to make it six successive Premier League games that the striker has found the net. A fine Gustavo Hamer strike levelled proceedings just after the break, only for substitute Chris Wood to head home in typical fashion in the dying stages.
THE TEAM NEWS
MAN UTD
Luke Shaw and Mason Mount are the latest additions to the treatment room so Diogo Dalot and Christian Eriksen look like the obvious replacements at left-back and central midfield respectively.
Despite the fact he has joined in with training, Rasmus Hojlund is not yet being considered for the squad, but Erik Ten Hag may nevertheless make some alterations in the attacking areas. The Dutchman could field Anthony Martial in the central striker role in an attempt to get the best out of Marcus Rashford, who is undoubtedly more effective on the left wing.
PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Onana; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Martinez, Dalot; Casemiro, Eriksen; Antony, Fernandes, Rashford; Martial
UNAVAILABLE: Heaton (Injured), Malacia (Injured), Shaw (Injured), Mainoo (Injured), Mount (Injured), Diallo (Injured), Hojlund (Fitness)
QUESTIONABLE: Maguire (Injured)
NOTTINGHAM FOREST
Gonzalo Montiel has trained but may not be ready for selection just yet, while the same can be said for fellow full-back Ola Aina, who has only made a partial return to training after a groin injury. Serge Aurier and Neco Williams could retain their places on either side, then.
Centre-back Felipe is edging closer to a return, with Forest's list of injuries finally starting to come down to a reasonable level.
PREDICTED XI (3-4-2-1): Turner; Boly, Worrall, McKenna; Aurier, Danilo, Mangala, Williams; Johnson, Gibss-White; Awoniyi
UNAVAILABLE: Hennessey (Injured), Felipe (Fitness), Richards (Injured)
QUESTIONABLE: Biancone (Fitness), Montiel (Fitness), Aina (Fitness)
THE PREDICTION
Erik ten Hag will be demanding improvement from his men here, particularly in the attacking areas where they were hugely wasteful against Spurs. They are likely to be offered more chances by Forest, and given the quality in the Utd ranks, you'd have to fancy them to find their scoring boots at some point. Bruno Fernandes in particular has been threatening to find the net, and it wouldn't be surprising if he got off the mark here.
TIP: BRUNO FERNANDES TO SCORE ANYTIME
