In November and early December, Manchester City were having to regroup after a major dip in form and some injury issues caused Pep Guardiola’s men to lose ground in the Premier League title race. In the last couple of months, they have progressed into the fifth round of the FA Cup, the knockout stages as group winners of the UEFA Champions League, moved up in the title race and also won the FIFA Club World Cup. They have enjoyed nine successive victories across all competitions, scoring 27 goals in the process.
EVERTON
Sean Dyche is not necessarily under pressure for his job at Goodison Park but he may be feeling the heat a little as The Toffees sit tucked inside the bottom three and the relegation places after a difficult start to this calendar year. They did do well to come from behind twice and rescue a point at home to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend with an equalising goal from Jarrad Branthwaite.
However, despite that being a respectable result for the Merseysiders, Everton have now managed just one win in their last ten matches across all competitions. That one victory came against Crystal Palace by a goal to nil in an FA Cup third round replay and they have also only managed to score ten goals in those seven matches.

Pep Guardiola has a fully fit and available squad for this weekend's visit of struggling Everton so he has the luxury of potentially rotating at will ahead of their clash with Copenhagen in the UEFA Champions League in midweek.
There were no issues reported after their defeat of Brentford on Monday evening with the only question mark being whether John Stones would be available to start. Guardiola said 'we'll see after training' with regards to Stones.
