THE LOWDOWN

LEICESTER

  • A late Crystal Palace winner consigned Leicester to a 2-1 defeat at Selhurst Park this past weekend, a result which saw the dismissal of Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers by mutual consent.
  • Leicester now sit 19th-place in the table, which puts into perspective the seriousness of their current situation, but three points here would take them out of the bottom three with Leeds and Nottingham Forest playing each other.

ASTON VILLA

  • In-form Aston Villa added another feather to their cap at the weekend, beating Chelsea 0-2 at Stamford Bridge in what was an excellent all-round performance from Unai Emery’s side.
  • Only full-back Matty Cash, midfielder Philippe Coutinho and goalkeeper Jed Steer are confirmed absentees for Aston Villa as it stands.

THE PREDICTION

It’s hard to see where Leicester’s next win is coming from at present and with just one point from their last six Premier League game’s Rodgers’ dismissal felt inevitable. However, any hopes of a bounce could be short-lived when taking into account the recent form of Aston Villa. A proven goalscorer in Ollie Watkins up front, is complimented by an excellent defensive set-up under Emery which has seen Villa establish themselves as a real defensive force at the back, keeping clean sheets in four of their last five. Therefore, the visitors are well worth backing to come out on top here, although it would be a sensible move to utilise the draw no bet market in doing so.

TIP: ASTON VILLA DRAW NO BET
