Ajax are just two wins from guaranteeing their champion status for another Eredivisie season with five games to go despite being held to a 1-1 draw at home to Utrecht on Thursday night for their game in-hand. They are on the home stretch for the double now having won the KNVB Cup last Sunday in a 2-1 victory over Vitesse but this match at home to AZ is a big one considering the form of their visitors. AZ are on a four-match winning streak as they challenge PSV on 61 points apiece for the automatic Champions League spot and will be up for this challenge in the knowledge that they won their last trip to the Johan Cruijff just over a year ago. Interestingly, the last seven meetings between these sides have seen just one side score and AZ have kept three-straight clean sheets in the league but it is hard to see Ajax blank here. Ajax have won the two most recent encounters to nil but both teams scoring is a distinct possibility so take the hosts to win outright here.
