Owned by Leicester City’s King Power, Oud-Heverlee Leuven have also suffered from the financial issues that The Foxes have endured over the last couple of years. They have remained a stable side in Belgium’s top-flight, though, with their manager, Marc Brys, formerly of Sint-Truiden, having been in charge of the club since 2020.
After a tenth-place finish last season, there will be slight concerns that they have stagnated and could well drop down towards the bottom end of the table. They come into this on the back of a 3-1 loss away to Eupen in their most recent outing, last weekend. They have collected just two points from their opening five matches so far this season.
KORTRIJK
Kortrijk were one of the weakest sides in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League last season and they are not expected to be that much improved this time around. The reduction of the league from 18 to 16 teams also means it is even more likely that they are expected to struggle this season with the bottom part of the league becoming even more congested.
Owned by Cardiff City’s Vincent Tan, Kortrijk, coached by the brother of Will Still, Edward, have been able to add two Cardiff City players on loan in Sheyi Ojo and Isaak Davies ahead of this weekend. Despite that, though, De Kerels begin the match day sitting rock-bottom in the Jupiler Pro League table with just one point collected in their opening five matches and they have managed to concede 14 goals in the process.

This one is likely to be low on quality, despite the usual entertainment and free scoring nature of the Belgian top-flight, and under 2.5 goals seems quite likely.
