THE TEAM NEWS
GORODEYA
- Gorodeya failed to win for the fifth game in succession as they drew with Slavia last week and they will be desperate to end their winless streak as they host Neman.
- Denis Yaskovich put Gorodeya ahead on the half hour but Slavia levelled from the spot which proved to be the end of the scoring in the 1-1 draw.
- Gorodeya suffered an injury blow in that game with Aleksandr Poznyak needing to leave the game before half-time and the defender is doubtful to feature here.
NEMAN
- Neman earned an impressive win at home to Torpedo-BelAZ last week as they managed to score three unanswered goals having gone a goal behind early on.
- Neman trailed as early as the 10th minute but Gleb Rassadkin levelled the scores before Valeri Zhukovskiy’s second half penalty put the hosts ahead.
- Zoran Marusic sealed the win in the closing stages as Neman improved their home record but their challenge will be to build on that on the road having failed to win away from home this season.
THE PREDICTION
Gorodeya failed to win for a fifth successive game and now face a Neman side that will be confident after an eye-catching win over Torpedo-BelAZ last week. However, Neman have managed just a solitary point and goal away from home this season and with the hosts only scoring seven goals from their 10 games so far, this is likely to be a low-scoring contest.
