That defeat ended an impressive run of form whereby they had lost just one of their previous 15 matches. That run of form has the hosts on the cusp of the Western Conference top seven and the playoff places. They come up against a Sporting Kansas City side that remain towards the top-of-the-table. The visitors come into this on the back of back-to-back wins against Dallas and Houston Dynamo in their recent matches. Both sides have been in generally good form and have both scored over a goal per game over the season so both teams scoring looks likely.
