Nigeria came into this tournament on the back of some poor form and the pressure was growing on their coach, Jose Peseiro. However, they managed to recover from a slow start which was a draw against Equatorial Guinea by edging past both Ivory Coast and Guinea-Bissau before comfortably defeating the Cameroonians. They face an Angolan side that, under the management of Pedro Goncalves, have been extremely impressive thus far with a proactive style of football and whilst Nigeria remain favourites, both teams scoring would appear a good bet for this one.
