Flavio Cobolli vs Alexander Zverev prediction
Alexander Zverev will get a shot at some quick-fire revenge against Flavio Cobolli.
The German saw his Munich title defence end courtesy of a 6-3 6-3 defeat to the Italian in the last four recently and will hope the faster conditions will reap some reward in Madrid.
The second seed was made to work for a 6-4 6-7 6-3 success over Jakub Mensik last time out while Cobolli enjoyed a similar 6-3 5-7 6-4 victory over seventh seed Daniil Medvedev.
Zverev leads the head-to-head 2-1, including a straight sets win on the clay of Roland-Garros last year.
The two-time champion likes it here and that may be key, but Cobolli is playing well enough to consider the outsider bet or it being over 22.5 games.
Flavio Cobolli vs Alexander Zverev tip: Over 2.5 sets
