Fiorentina preview: Languishing I Viola

Over the summer, after another underwhelming campaign, Fiorentina decided to re-appoint Stefano Pioli but the former AC Milan boss endured a woeful start to the season, and he has since been sacked.

I Viola remain winless after 11 matches and they sit rock-bottom, too, with Pioli replaced by Paolo Vanoli. They most recently shared a 2-2 draw with Genoa at the Luigi Ferraris in Liguria.

Juventus preview: New era for the Old Lady

Around a month or so ago, as Juventus continued to underwhelm, the Old Lady decided to swap out Igor Tudor for former Napoli and Italy boss Luciano Spalletti, and that has led to an improved run of form by collecting seven points from their last three matches.

The Bianconeri most recently shared a goalless draw in Derby della Mole at the Allianz Stadium in Turin against Torino a fortnight ago, following on from back-to-back victories against Udinese and Cremonese.

Fiorentina team news: A few issues

Fiorentina have made a few issues for this one as Ghana international defender Tariq Lamptey remains missing, whilst both Robin Gosens and Moise Kean are both doubts.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): David de Gea; Pongracic, Pablo Mari, Ranieri; Dodo, Mandragora, Caviglia, Sohm, Fortini; Piccoli, Gudmundsson

Unavailable: Lamptey (Injured), Kouame (Injured)

Questionable: Gosens (Injured), Kean (Injured)

Juventus team news: Defensive injuries

Juventus are dealing with a few key defensive injury issues for this one as Lloyd Kelly remains a doubt alongside Juan Cabal, whilst Bremer is sidelined alongside Daniele Rugani.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Di Gregorio; Kalulu, Rugani, Koopmeiners; McKennie, Locatelli, Thuram, Cambiaso; Conceicao, Yildiz; Vlahovic

Unavailable: Pinsoglio (Injured), Bremer (Injured), Rugani (Injured), Milik (Injured)

Questionable: Kelly (Injured), Juan Cabal (Injured), Vlahovic (Injured)

Fiorentina vs Juventus prediction

Fiorentina have a lot of quality within their squad. They are a team expected to go deep into the UEFA Europa Conference League once again and try and kick on from that by pushing for a top six finish. Instead, they are genuine relegation battlers. Juventus head to Florence with a bit of form behind them but still an apparent lack of cohesion and overwhelming dominance and consistency. Despite that, Juve still seem a good bet for a Fiorentina side bereft of confidence.

Fiorentina vs Juventus tip: Double chance – Juventus to win or draw
