Filip Misolic vs Flavio Cobolli prediction
Filip Misolic continued his impressive run with a wonderful straight-sets victory over eighth seed Camilo Ugo, making it four wins in a row for the Austrian after he had made it through qualifying and won his first-round match.
The world number 232 cruised to a 6-3 6-1 win, aided by a strong first serve percentage of 76% while also being incredibly productive when it came to taking his chances, winning all six of his break point opportunities.
Cobolli, the third seed, made hard work of his match against veteran Richard Gasquet, eventually pulling through in three sets to win 6-4 4-6 6-1 in just under two hours. The Italian struggled with his serve, knocking down four aces but committing six double faults and winning just 49% of points on his first serve.
This was a much-needed victory for the world number 45, who hasn’t managed a deep run at any of the tournaments he’s participated in so far this season, but Misolic could prove to be a potentially tricky opponent considering his string of victories this week.
Cobolli is the much higher-ranked player and should still be expected to pull through, but he might have to dig deep once again.
