Kick-off date/time:

How to watch on TV: UK – TNT Sports / US – Not televised

How to watch online: UK – discovery+ / US – Paramount+

Key stats

  • The only previous UEFA meetings between the sides came in the preliminary round of the 1960/61 European Cup Winners’ Cup. Rangers advanced with a 5-4 aggregate victory, winning 4-2 at home in the first leg before Ferencváros responded with a 2-1 triumph in Budapest. Those are Rangers’ only UEFA encounters against a team from Hungary.
  • Ferencváros’ most recent meetings with a Scottish side came against Celtic in the 2021/22 UEFA Europa League group stage. They fell 2-0 in Glasgow on Matchday 3 before suffering a 3-2 defeat at home on Matchday 4.
  • Ferencváros have lost only one of their 11 UEFA competition matches this season (W7 D3) and are unbeaten in the last six (W4 D2).
  • Ferencváros have won seven of their last nine UEFA competition matches at home (D1 L1).
  • Rangers are winless in their last eight UEFA competition matches with seven defeats and one draw.

Ferencvaros vs Rangers prediction

Following his surprise departure from Maccabi Tel-Aviv about a year ago, Ferencvaros boss Robbie Keane has done a noticeably good job in the UEFA Europa League but their domestic form has been slow. Their most recent outing in this competition saw them share a 1-1 draw with Fenerbahce in Istanbul.

After a woeful start to the season under Russell Martin, Rangers took the decision to part company with the former Southampton boss and replace him with former Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Rohl. The Bears have been improved since that decision but their form in Europe has remained poor with just a point collected from their five games so far.

Rangers’ performance level in Europe has improved with results improving domestically but this still seems too tough a test for them this season in central Europe.

Ferencvaros vs Rangers tip: Double chance – Ferencvaros to win or draw
