Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Jannik Sinner prediction

Felix Auger-Aliassime continued his best ever run at the Monte-Carlo Masters as he advanced to the quarter-finals following Casper Ruud’s retirement in the second set. Both pairs exchanged breaks in the first, with Auger-Aliassime breaking once more in the 11th game and serving it out. The score was 7-5 2-2 when the Norwegian decided he could not continue.

He now faces Jannik Sinner, who required three sets to beat Tomas Machac. The Italian dropped his first set at a Masters 1000 event since Shanghai in October, but he still ultimately came through to win 6-1 6-7 (3) 6-3. It was business as usual for the world number two at the start of the match as he raced clear, but a drop in form saw Machac go up a double break in the second set. Sinner retrieved the two breaks but still lost the set on a tiebreak, though he improved in the decider to win yet again.

Sinner leads the head-to-head 4-2 and has won the last four meetings, which all occurred in 2025. He did show a dip in level against Machac, but he should be back firing here against an opponent he’s comfortable facing and has a strong record against.
