FC Cologne vs St. Pauli prediction

FC Cologne have taken just a point from their last three games, so it’s crucial that they get back to winning ways immediately. However, opponents St. Pauli continue to sink having slumped to yet another defeat last time out against Bayern Munich. Whilst they did at least put up a good account of themselves against the champions, Vincent Kompany’s side was too strong.

Marooned in mid-table, FC Cologne need to shore up defensively if things are to improve after conceded eight goals across their last three league matches. Only giving up one goal against Werder Bremen away from home in their draw last weekend was a good short and now they must build on that here.

All it takes is one goal for that sinking feeling that engulf those St Pauli players and when they’ve been so under-par across the campaign and cannot seem to find anything that goes their way, it’s difficult to see them ending their losing streak. Back the hosts to be the team who gets back to winning ways in this one.
