Everton vs Sunderland prediction

It's back-to-back draws now for Everton, who followed their dramatic 3-3 draw against title-chasing Man City with a 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace last time out.

The Toffees only have the slimmest hopes of finishing in a European place this season, as they need a number of other results to go their way.

They are only one point better off than Sunderland, who had delivered a couple of sub-par performance lately but were much-improved in their goalless draw against Man Utd last weekend.

The defensive resolve that had characterised their first season back in the Premier League had returned against the Red Devils, and they will likely adopt the same cautious approach here.

Everton have been involved in a number of high-scoring games of late, but may find the visitors to be stubborn opponents here. We're backing under 2.5 goals in this one.

Everton vs Sunderland tip: Under 2.5 goals
