The first-leg of this UEFA Europa Conference League third qualifying round tie, ETO Gyori succumbed to a slender 1-0 loss to Riga in the Latvian capital city with that goal being an own goal scored within three minutes of the game.
Having overcome Ferencvaros to win the Hungarian title last season, Gyori were knocked out in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League last month. Riga do perhaps have a little bit more experienced and European pedigree in recent times.
The home advantage may well now aid Gyori as they seek another big European win, as they managed with a 6-2 victory against Luxembourg champions Atert-Bissen in the second qualifying round.
