The prediction
Essendon briefly lifted themselves off rock-bottom in the AFL ladder a few weeks ago but they have since returned to that position with two victories and 19 defeats this season; the 19th of which came with a 67-point loss to Geelong last week.
The Sydney Swans have struggled to keep up with runaway leaders Fremantle this year but they did manage to close the gap with Freo’s loss to Collingwood last week as the Swans earned a massive 97-point annihilation of Port Adelaide.
Sydney’s results have flattered their performances this year but they re finding fluency and form in the run-in to the end of the regular season and should earn another comfortable victory at the Melbourne Cricket Ground this week.
